Guys, learn how to decorate cakes does not have to be hard (I used to feel it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Search a cake decorating club known as Zumocake Decorating (do a search on google). Seriously, that tutorial has all answers for my question about cake decorating.

Hi I work with cold cakes in general, it makes it easier to place the cakes on top of each other. To stack the cakes without messing them up they need to be on cardboard rounds and you move them around with a spatula. Occasionally the cakes get nicked and you either touch up or cover those parts with a border anyway.

How did you stack without messing up the icing? Did you freeze it first?

Is there a board on each cake before you stack them and put the dowels in? How long in advance do you prepare your cake to decorate from start to finish? Where do you store your cake and is this buttercream or whip cream? How do you box this cake and where can I get the box to store the cake? Thank you.
